CU Boulder's 150th Anniversary

We're part of something big.

150 years of transforming lives as Colorado’s leading public research university

CU Boulder is proud to announce that preparations are underway for its 150th anniversary celebration in 2026, a milestone that will honor the ³Ô¹ÏÍø of Colorado Boulder’s legacy, engage the Boulder campus and broader communities and help set the stage as CU Boulder looks toward the future.

A dedicated 150th Steering Committee has been working behind the scenes since 2024 to shape a yearlong celebration that will complement the state of Colorado’s 150th anniversary celebrations and the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Declaration of Independence.
