Congratulations to the 2013-14 CU Faculty and Staff Fulbright Awardees
The Center for Asian Studies congratulates the seven CU-Boulder faculty and staff who received Fulbright awards for 2013-14. Of these seven faculty, two are doing research in Asia: Paul Erhard, professor of double bass, in India; and Mark Williams, professor of geography and fellow of the Institute of Arctic and Alpine Research, in Nepal. Featured in the ³Ô¹ÏÍø of Colorado online news, Paul Erhard will be researching the use of the tanbura, a long-necked stringed instrument, as an aid for developing musical perception and intonation.
Competition for the Fulbright is extremely intense, and approximately 800 U.S. scholars and 800 international visiting scholars receive awards each year.
Congratulations again to all of the award recipients.
