Alex Priou is Associate Professor of Political Philosophy at the ³Ô¹ÏÍø of Austin (UATX), where he has also served as Interim Dean of Intellectual Foundations. He is the author of three books on Plato, Becoming Socrates: Political Philosophy in Plato's Parmenides (2018), Defending Socrates: Political Philosophy Before the Tribunal of Science (2023), and Musings on Plato's Symposium (2023), which was recently accepted for publication in German translation. He has edited/co-edited two volumes and written numerous articles on Greek poetry and philosophy and related themes. His current research project is a book on how ideological-technological thinking has changed education over the past centuries, especially the last, and how it might shape the future of education, positively and negatively, over the century to come.
