CHA Eaton Humanities Fellow

This fellowship provides a graduate student (MA or PhD) with the equivalent of a GPTI salary for one semester. The fellow will gain experience in the vision, planning, and management of an arts and humanities center, which will hopefully help with any non-academic/alternative academic career path they may choose to pursue. The Fellow will contribute to CHA’s mission of fostering inclusive dialogue, creative expression, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Eligibility

  • Late and/or incomplete applications will not be considered.
  • Be currently enrolled as a CU Boulder graduate student (MA or PhD) in the arts and humanities
  • Be in good academic standing
  • Not hold another ³Ô¹ÏÍø position during the fellowship term
  • Students outside traditional arts/humanities units may apply if they demonstrate relevant experience with arts/humanities archives, methods, or theories

Application Procedure

Complete the application form.

Please submit:

  • A 2-page cover letter outlining your interest, qualifications, and the name of your graduate advisor
  • A 2–4 page CV highlighting your arts and humanities experience
  • Note: To hold this fellowship, you must not have accepted a GPTI appointment for Spring 2026. If selected, you will need to relinquish any Spring 2026 GPTI appointment.

Expectations

  • Collaborate with the CHA director and program manager to carry out the mission and vision of the CHA
  • Oversee management, scheduling, processing, and oversight of the Hazel Barnes Flat (HBF): maintain a master calendar, process and coordinate bookings, collect occupancy agreements, serve as the contact person for HBF inquiries, ensure compliance with CHA policies
  • Support the public programing of the CHA, which includes the Difficult Dialogue series, the Cox Family Process Speaker Series, the CHA Book Clubs, and other public events
  • 10-20 hour a week commitment
