Majed serves as the current Academic Advisor for first-year students in the College of Communication, Media, Design and Information, specifically supporting students within the Environmental Design program. As an alum of CU Boulder, Majed graduated in 2021 from ENVD with a focus in Architecture. Their own experience navigating ENVD informs their approach to advising, where they are committed to helping students build confidence, explore their interests, and find their place within the college.

Before joining CMDI, Majed worked as a construction associate and later returned to ENVD as an instructor for ENVD's Tech 3 course. They were then brought on as the first dedicated First-Year Advisor for the program, where they have spent the past three years shaping the student experience. During this time, Majed has played a key role in redesigning curriculum guides across ENVD’s four majors, helping create clearer and more accessible academic pathways for students. They also work closely with students to review and strengthen their portfolios, supporting them in developing thoughtful, well-crafted representations of their design work.

Outside of their advising work, Majed is deeply engaged in creative and community spaces. They run a small design and fabrication practice focused on custom goods and awards, and they are also a performer and dance instructor in Denver. Through their work in the local community, Majed continues to foster spaces for creativity, expression, and connection.
