Robert George

Robert P. GeorgeÌýis the McCormick Professor of Jurisprudence at Princeton ³Ô¹ÏÍø and Director of Princeton’s James Madison Program in American Ideals and Institutions. Professor George has chaired the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom and served on the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights and the President’s Council on Bioethics. He holds JD and MTS degrees from Harvard ³Ô¹ÏÍø as well as the degrees of DPhil, BCL, DCL, and DLitt from Oxford ³Ô¹ÏÍø, along with twenty-three honorary doctorates.ÌýThe author ofÌýMaking Men Moral: Civil Liberties and Public MoralityÌýand InÌýDefense of Natural Law, among many other works, he is a recipient of the U.S. Presidential Citizens Medal, the Bradley Prize for Intellectual and Civic Achievement, and many other awards and honors. He is also aÌýwell-regarded bluegrass banjo player and guitarist.
