The four members of Opoles

The goal of the OPOLES (Objective, Positional Oriented Laser Engagement System) is to design a base system for a laser tag game that incorporates the use of GPS and other communications to provide a unique game experience.

Primary design objectives:

  • Incorporate GPS:
    • Allow for distance calculations of ballistics.
    • Allow for positional tasks/ rewards/ spawn points/ restricted play field etc.
  • Modular Based system:
    • If a component is outdated or discontinued, a modular system would allow replacement module without a complete redesign.
  • Modules to allow for unique game experience.ÌýPossible modules include:
    • GPS Module--> Required
    • Force Feedback- Rumble pack/shocker/etc.
    • RF link- download game rules- provide in game updates- scoring- etc.
    • Gun Module--> Required
    • Sensor Modules - vest/headband --> some form required
