Silvia ±·´Ç²µ³Ü±ð°ùó²Ô-³¢¾±³Ü(she | her) is associate professor and chair of Literacy Studies at the School of Education, ³Ô¹ÏÍø of Colorado, Boulder. Her research and teaching focus on these areas: (a) the study of equitable and evidence-based literacy practices in elementary classrooms; (b) the critical examination of digital tools in literacy education; and (c) the involvement of families and caregivers in home-school partnerships, leveraging the linguistic and cultural resources of transnational communities. Her work has been published in Reading Research Quarterly, Research in the Teaching of English, The Reading Teacher, Anthropology and Education Quarterly, Theory into Practice, and other journals and edited volumes. She is a former bilingual elementary teacher.Ìý
