Yozaima Escobar is an Academic Advisor in the School of Education at the ³Ô¹ÏÍø of Colorado Boulder. She earned her BS in Sociology from the ³Ô¹ÏÍø of California, Riverside, where her interests in educational equity and storytelling began to take shape. She is currently pursuing an MA in Journalism at CU Boulder, with a focus on the intersection of culture and public policy. She brings a student-centered approach shaped by her previous experience in the Admissions, where she supported students in navigating the path to higher education. Driven by a commitment to access and representation, she strives to help students find their voice, both inside and outside the classroom.

She's always on the lookout for a good story whether it's in the classroom, the community, or during a great conversation with a student. She believes that listening closely and asking thoughtful questions can lead to powerful insights, and she brings the same curiosity and care to her work as an advisor.Ìý
