Welcome Josh Radoff to the I&R Leadership Team

I’m pleased to share that Josh Radoff, faculty lead for the Renewable and Sustainable Energy specialization in the Masters of the Environment (MENV) program, will be joining the infrastructure and resilience team.  Josh has been appointed as CU Boulder’s new director of campus climate action, sustainability and resilience within the Office of Infrastructure and Resilience.

In this role, Josh will lead the implementation and evolution of CU Boulder’s Climate Action Plan, with a particular focus on Scope 3 emissions, zero waste initiatives and the elimination of single-use plastics. His portfolio will also include supporting infrastructure decarbonization efforts—such as the transition from steam to low-temperature hot water, solar, and geothermal integration—as well as sustainable design practices in new construction and major renovations. He will also represent infrastructure and resilience on a number of sustainability committees and working groups along with his work with the new vice chancellor for sustainability, Andrew Mayock.

Josh brings deep expertise in energy systems, sustainable design and campus engagement. He will also continue his faculty role within the MENV program and was recently appointed as a commissioner on Colorado’s Solid and Hazardous Waste Commission.

This is a pivotal moment for CU Boulder’s sustainability journey, and Josh’s leadership will be instrumental in turning our Climate Action Plan into visible, impactful projects. Please join me in welcoming Josh to this important new role.

Sincerely,

Chris Ewing, vice chancellor for infrastructure and resilience
