Classified Staff, Performance Management

The ³Ô¹ÏÍø of Colorado (CU) ³Ô¹ÏÍø and Classified Staff Performance Management Program (Program) is a system-wide framework submitted on behalf of the entire ³Ô¹ÏÍø system for approval by the State Personnel Director. It also applies to state classified employees employed by the ³Ô¹ÏÍø of Colorado Hospital (UCH). CU’s program adheres to the uniform and consistent performance management system guidelines established for all state agencies. CU’s program shall be revised, as necessary, by CU’s Employee Services and Campus HR offices to remain consistent with all requirements of the state’s performance management system and the Personnel Board Rules and State Personnel Director’s Administrative Procedures. 

The state of Colorado determines the merit and performance cycles for classified employees. The ³Ô¹ÏÍø of Colorado Boulder has developed a performance management program in compliance with the State Personnel Board’s rules and procedures. The performance management program is designed to help employees achieve performance excellence and encourages collaboration between supervisors and employees, emphasizing continuous feedback.
