Spatial Legacies in the Borderlands: U.S. Colonization of Northwestern Mexico, 1863-1930s
Cristina Urias earned a Ph.D. in ÌýHistory from the ³Ô¹ÏÍø of Arizona in July 2022, an M.A. in Historic Preservation, and a B.A. in Architecture in Mexico. Currently, she is an Assistant professor of history at Arkansas State ³Ô¹ÏÍøâ€”CQ. Her historical research focuses on the social and cultural history of the U.S. colonies established in Northwestern Mexico during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, with a special emphasis on migratory routes and changes in the built environment. In addition, her study interests include US-Mexico relations in the border region, historic preservation, and public history.
