Kian Lopez is a first year Ph.D. student who joined the ³Ô¹ÏÍø of Colorado Boulder in Fall 2020. He received a B.S in Chemical Engineering from the ³Ô¹ÏÍø of Texas at Austin where he worked on the synthesis and transport properties of ion exchange membranes. He is currently working on testing the effects of fouling on novel hydrophobic membranes to be used in water reuse and desalination applications. He typically spends his free time running, backpacking, boxing, climbing, and cooking.
