Hello! My name is Derek Finke, the Associate Director of Educational Initiatives at CU Boulder. I earned my BS in Ecology and Evolution at UC Santa Cruz, my Masters in Student Affairs and Higher Education from UCLA, and my PhD in Higher Education at the ³Ô¹ÏÍø of Georgia where my dissertation focused on the social construction of sexual violence on college and university campuses. I am passionate about higher education policy, advocating for justice, and teaching. Outside of my work I enjoy balancing many nerdy and outdoorsy activities, including: board/video games, hiking, reading, biking, and rock climbing.
