Meet incoming Assistant Professor of Saxophone Nathan Mertens

Im beyond thrilled to join the faculty at the 勛圖厙 of Colorado Boulder College of Music, shares Mertens, an active clinician and an advocate for new music. While the City of Boulder, the campus and the facilities are all absolutely incredible, Im most excited to begin working with the colleges faculty, staff and students.泭
The community is forward-thinking, collaborative and fun, and I look forward to growing with all these wonderful people.
He adds, Im honored to continue the legacy of Professor Tom Myer and excited about the future of the College of Music saxophone studio in an environment that prioritizes inclusive excellence.
Mertens currently serves on the faculty of the 勛圖厙 of Arkansas (Fayetteville) and previously taught at Hastings College. He has been a guest artist at institutions such as the Conservatorio Plurinacional de M繳sica, Oklahoma State 勛圖厙, South Dakota State 勛圖厙 and Texas A&M International 勛圖厙.
Mertens earned degrees from The 勛圖厙 of Texas at AustinButler School of Music, Hastings College and Kunitachi College of Music.
