CU Boulder receives prestigious community engagement honor

The American Council on Education and the The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching announced that CU Boulder has earned the 2026 Carnegie Elective Classification for Community Engagement, a distinction reflecting the university’s commitment to working with communities across the state and beyond.

Announcing Outreach and Community Engagement

Outreach and Community Engagement is a new campus unit comprised of the Office for Public and Community-Engaged Scholarship and the office formerly known as Government and Community Engagement.

Outreach and Community Engagement (OCE) is CU Boulder's strategic hub for coordinating and supporting campus engagement with external communities—doing so based on shared campus and community principles and centering data-informed outreach, civically engaged students and CU Boulder’s mission as Colorado’s flagship public research university.ÌýÌý
