Areas of interest: philosophy of cognitive science, metaphysics of personal identity, epistemology, value theory
Ìý
I am pursuing a dual PhD in Philosophy and Cognitive Science. My research primarily explores the intersection of the philosophy of cognitive science, the metaphysics of personal identity, and epistemology. I am interested in how social and epistemic conditions shape personal identity, how identity influences belief, and what these interactions reveal about mental disorders and evaluative norms in psychiatry. I focus in particular on pathological beliefs characteristic of psychotic and trauma-related disorders.

More broadly, I am interested in the relationship between personal identity and social oppression, and how they influence both individual perception and norms in psychiatric and medical practice. I also explore questions in value theory and epistemology related to epistemic and moral virtues and vices, the moral significance of suffering, moral evil, and norms of blame and responsibility.

I have served as the Instructor of Record for courses in ethics, medical ethics, the philosophy of religion, and an introductory course covering topics in the philosophy of mind, epistemology, and metaphysics.
