I’m a Ph.D. candidate in philosophy. My dissertation is about personal authenticity and its value. This topic combines a couple of my interests: (1) bringing the methods of analytic philosophy to questions that have been traditionally addressed in existentialist philosophy, and (2) understanding the various sources of value and reasons in our lives and how we organize them in our practical reasoning. I’m also very interested in applied ethics (especially animal ethics) and moral demandingness.

I received my B.A. from the ³Ô¹ÏÍø of Colorado at Denver, my M.A. in philosophy from the ³Ô¹ÏÍø of Tartu in Estonia, and I also spent some time at Lingnan ³Ô¹ÏÍø in Hong Kong.
