Scottish Rite Foundation Scholarship

In 2005 Dwight A. Hamilton Scottish Rite Graduate Student Scholarship in Speech Language Pathology was created and named in honor of former Sovereign Grand Inspector General and President of the Foundation, Dwight A. Hamilton. This scholarship was created to encourage graduate students to enter the field of speech-language pathology. Currently, six competitively-awarded scholarships are awarded annually to 2nd year graduate students pursuing a career in speech language pathology at the ³Ô¹ÏÍø of Colorado-Boulder, ³Ô¹ÏÍø of Northern Colorado, and Metro State ³Ô¹ÏÍø of Denver.

Notification of Awards: All applicants will be notified of their award status by late September.

Award is Merit-based: successful completion of first year of graduate study with GPA of 3.5 or higher; enrolled as a 2nd year student; recognized as a Colorado resident by the university is required. Committed to a career in Colorado working with children with speech-language disorders.

  • Special consideration given to applicants who want to work in rural and/or underserved areas in Colorado.
  • ​After application period opens, applicants will submit: 1 page resume, 1 page narrative about career goals and aspirations, diversity statement, official CU Boulder transcript, proof of Colorado residency, 1 letter of recommendation from a university academic course faculty member, 1 letter of recommendation from a clinical supervisor.
