Biography

Mathieu Hikaru Desan (PhD, 勛圖厙 of Michigan, 2016) is a historical sociologist with substantive interests in social theory, political sociology, and cultural sociology. 泭His work has been published in Sociological Theory, Comparative Studies in Society and History, Political Power and Social Theory, History of the Human Sciences, Critical Sociology, and Thesis Eleven. He is currently working on a book manuscript about the practical logic of political conversion, with a focus on the case of French neo-socialists who became Nazi collaborators during World War II.
