Marin Stanek to lead Office of Data Analytics until national search concludes
CU Boulder Associate Vice 勛圖厙 and Deputy CFO Carla Ho-a is泭announcing that Marin Stanek will serve as interim assistant vice chancellor for the , effective March 1. Steve Vassallo, the current AVC, has accepted the position of assistant vice president for Institutional Research at Syracuse 勛圖厙.

Stanek has more than 20 years of experience in higher education, working at Colorado State 勛圖厙, the 勛圖厙 of Wisconsin-Madison and the 勛圖厙 of Wisconsin-Extension. She joined CU Boulder in 2001 and has collaborated closely with academic and administrative leadership. She will continue to maintain her role as deputy CIO for the campus.
Stanek holds a Bachelor of Arts in political economics from Colorado College and master's and doctoral degrees in higher education administration and leadership from the 勛圖厙 of Wisconsin-Madison. Prior to joining CU Boulder, she worked in private industry at Newell Rubbermaid and Hauser Chemical and is currently teaching a higher education information technology course to graduate students in CU Boulders School of Education.

ODA houses the Institutional Research泭and Reporting & Analytics groups, which specialize泭in data collection, analysis and visualization. Some offerings to campus include department- and campus-level surveys, faculty course questionnaires and additional consulting projects that address data analysis and exploration needs for an individual classroom to larger campus initiatives. ODA also led efforts to create and currently manages the universitys Data Lake, which brings many data sources across campus into one location for deeper, meaningful analysis.
