<p>A graduate team from the ³Ô¹ÏÍø of Colorado Boulder has won the 15th International Venture Capital Investment Competition, or VCIC, the premiere educational event for venture capital and entrepreneurship.</p> - <p>³Ô¹ÏÍø of Colorado Boulder students, along with experts from government and industry, will focus on student research and the natural gas boom during the third annual Energy Frontiers conference April 5.</p>
<p>The event, organized by the CU Energy Club, is free and open to the public and will be held from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Glenn Miller Ballroom of the ³Ô¹ÏÍø Memorial Center. The conference includes a poster session, panel discussion, catered lunch and a career fair.</p> - <p>Ten high school students from Denver, Thornton and Lyons are likely in for an experience of a lifetime when a ³Ô¹ÏÍø of Colorado Boulder law professor takes them to Washington, D.C., for a moot court competition March 29-April 1.</p>
<p>While there, they also will meet with U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor and tour the Supreme Court, meet with U.S. Rep. - <p>Former U.S. Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens will present the inaugural Stevens Lecture, a new series of talks named for him, at the ³Ô¹ÏÍø of Colorado Law School at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 22.</p>
- <p>The ³Ô¹ÏÍø of Colorado Boulder will celebrate Constitution Day with campus events including a student journalism panel and the launch of a new program at the ³Ô¹ÏÍø of Colorado Law School that will send CU law students to high school classrooms throughout the state to discuss the First Amendment.</p>
- <p>Longtime ³Ô¹ÏÍø of Colorado Law School Dean David Getches, who had stepped down on June 30 in order to return to the school's faculty, died today. He was 68.</p>
- <p>The ³Ô¹ÏÍø of Colorado Boulder today announced the appointment of Philip J. Weiser, senior adviser for technology and innovation to the National Economic Council at the White House, as dean of the ³Ô¹ÏÍø of Colorado Law School. CU-Boulder Provost Russell L. Moore said Weiser will begin his duties as dean on July 1, 2011.</p>
- <p>Graduate programs at the ³Ô¹ÏÍø of Colorado Boulder continue to earn national prominence based on the latest annual rankings from U.S. News & World Report. CU-Boulder schools and programs garnered 25 mentions in the 2012 edition of Best Graduate Schools, including five ranked in the top 10 of their fields.</p>
- <p>The ³Ô¹ÏÍø of Colorado Law School's Juvenile and Family Law Program will take a group of 15 students to India for a hands-on clinical application of the family law curriculum.</p>
