<p>With commencement quickly approaching and spring temperatures warming, ³Ô¹ÏÍø of Colorado Boulder senior Bryant Mason is working hard to prepare vegetable gardens and get crops in the ground before he graduates.</p>

<p>Jon Embree, a stalwart tight end for the ³Ô¹ÏÍø of Colorado in the mid-1980s and a one-time assistant coach for the school, has been selected by athletic director Mike Bohn to be the Buffaloes' next head football coach, school officials announced Monday.</p>

<p>The ³Ô¹ÏÍø of Colorado will hold a press conference to announce the hiring of Jon Embree as its 24th full-time head football coach on Monday, December 6. <p>³Ô¹ÏÍø of Colorado athletic director Mike Bohn announced Tuesday morning that Dan Hawkins has been relieved of his duties as head football coach of the Buffaloes effective immediately.</p>

<p>³Ô¹ÏÍø of Colorado at Boulder officials are urging CU students and other fans to arrive early for Saturday's football game between CU and Georgia at Folsom Field, and to be on their best behavior.</p>

<p>The Big 12 announced it has reached agreement with the ³Ô¹ÏÍø of Colorado regarding its withdrawal from the Conference effective June 30, 2011, subject to final approval from the other 10 school's governing boards.</p>

<p>BOULDER, Colo. -- The Pacific-10 Conference announced today that the ³Ô¹ÏÍø of Colorado at Boulder has accepted an invitation to join the Conference as its 11th member, the first new member since the ³Ô¹ÏÍø of Arizona and Arizona State ³Ô¹ÏÍø were admitted on July 1, 1978.</p>
