  • 2016 Distinguished Research Lecturership
    David Korevaar, College of Music, and Thomas T. Veblen, Geography Department, have been selected as recipients of the 2016 Distinguished Research Lectureship, which is among the highest honors bestowed by the faculty upon a faculty member at CU Boulder.
  • Pianist Richard Goode
    CU Presents' 80th-anniversary Artist Series continues with an intimate recital by acclaimed American pianist Richard Goode. Hailed by The Washington Post as ā€œone of the finest pianists in the world,ā€ Goode will play a program of Beethoven, Debussy and more at Macky Auditorium on Friday, Oct. 28, at 7:30 p.m.

    This fall, just in time for Halloween, CU Boulder’s Eklund Opera Program is set to bring Johann Strauss, Jr.’s glittering masked ball operetta to Macky Auditorium, opening Oct. 21.
  • Classic Italian masks
    CU Boulder’s 2016-17 theatre season continues with a heartwarming, hilarious production of ā€œThe Servant of Two Masters,ā€ a classic Italian commedia dell’arte by 18th-century playwright Carlo Goldoni. Performances of the play, directed by CU Associate Professor Tamara Meneghini, take place Oct. 19-23 in CU’s Loft Theatre.
  • Homecoming Concert
    R&B artistĀ Gallant willĀ headlineĀ this year'sĀ Homecoming concertĀ on Wednesday, Oct.Ā 12, at 8 p.m. in the Glenn Miller Ballroom. The concert is just one of many events and activities happening during Homecoming week.Ā Tickets will be $5 for CU students and $10 for the public.

    Continuing the exciting 2016-17 dance season at CU Boulder is ā€œBoneless,ā€ a showcase of two works by MFA students intent on uncovering who we really are underneath our society’s thick layers of commercialism and social standards. These two works, incorporating contemporary dance, animal instinct and skateboarding, come to CU’s Charlotte York Irey Theatre Oct. 21-23.

    CU Presents’ 80th-anniversary Artist Series kicks off with a desert-inspired dance performance by MOMIX, a company famous for its astounding creativity and stunning visual tricks. The company, an Artist Series favorite, is back by popular demand with a Boulder premiere on Sunday, Oct. 2.

    This fall, CU Boulder brings street culture to the stage with [UN] W.R.A.P.: Women of the Cypher, a weekend-long performance event bringing together renowned female Hip-Hop scholars, artists and enthusiasts for a critical and creative exchange. From breaking to waacking to DJing, no facet of Hip-Hop will go unexplored at the event, which takes place Sept. 23-25 at CU Boulder’s Charlotte York Irey Theatre.

    A Liminal Space is a transdisciplinary collaboration between artists Ana Baer, Heike Salzer and Rosely Conz. The production utilizes dance and video projections to create captivating, kinesthetic poetry. This Friday and Saturday in the ATLAS Black Box Experimental Studio.
