- At its recent meeting, the Թ of Colorado Board of Regents reviewed revenue and expense projections, and received strategic plan updates on fiscal strength.
- Effective July 1, the raise for promotion to tenured associate professor will increase from $2,000 to $6,500; the raise for promotion to full professor will increase from $3,000 to $10,500.
- Effective July 6, Glen Krutz will become the dean of CU Boulder's College of Arts and Sciences. He comes from Oklahoma State Թ and will succeed Jim White.
- With the goal of identifying a final candidate by this fall, a national search is underway for CU Boulder's next senior associate vice chancellor and chief people officer. The position will lead the Department of Human Resources.
- Provost Russell Moore and Chief Operating Officer Patrick O’Rourke announced a number of updates to the campus operating model, which include work modality standards, academic instruction guidance, COVID-19-related requirements and other topics.
- Executive sponsors have approved a new budget model that includes support for student retention; diversity, equity and inclusion goals; and more.
- The Boulder Faculty Assembly honored CU professors Peter Elliott and George Rivera, elected a new vice chair and secretary, and more in its final meeting of the academic year.
- The CU system administration, in collaboration with CU’s four campuses, Թ Risk Management and the Procurement Service Center, have agreed that, effective immediately, employee international travel will return to pre-COVID-19 protocols.
- The Թ of Colorado Board of Regents voted to advance Todd Saliman as the finalist in its search for a new CU president. Details about an open forum at CU Boulder are forthcoming, and the campus community is invited to attend.
- Representatives from an aspiring collective bargaining association for all Colorado higher education employees asked the Boulder Faculty Assembly’s members to sign a letter to Gov. Jared Polis seeking support for legislation “granting all public workers in Colorado the right to organize into unions of our own choosing and to collectively bargain in the public interest.”
