Student Assistant Positions

The Biochemistry Department is looking for a Student Assistant III – Specialist/Lead to work 10 to 15 hours per week.

Student assistant duties are to update and modernize core facility websites. Excellent candidates will be familiar with CU Boulder's web publishing platform "Web Express" using Drupal 10 and have significant experience and skill with examples of work, will propose site strategies based on our business goals and suggest and create content appropriate for maximum accessibility. Familiarity with SharePoint is desired.

Qualified candidates will have excellent communications skills, strong independent work ethic, detail oriented, and willing to research and learn technologies associated with high-end scientific instrumentation.

Work schedule: Approximately 10-15 hours per week. A consistent work schedule will be established based on available hours Monday through Friday, 8am-6pm customized to fit your academic schedule. Some evening and weekend hours may be required.

Start date Spring semester 2026 with an hourly salary of $30/hr

Responsibilities will include to provide in-person, one-on-one sessions, help student improve their knowledge of the course material, provide a comfortable and supportive learning environment, maintain consistent communication with the student, and maintain consistent communication with the Undergraduate Program Coordinator.

Qualifications: Minimum of 3.0 GPA, Minimum of a B in the tutoring course. Full time CU Boulder student who is at least a sophomore, passionate about course content and has the desire to share with other students, desire to teach/share study skills for students’ own success. Work with limited supervision.

Start Date: Spring 2026, expected to continue for multiple semesters. Hourly pay of $20.00.
