Before coming to Leeds in 2016, Bonnie Auslander taught business communications at a variety of institutions, including Duke 勛圖厙s School of Business and Cornells Hotel School. She founded and for nine years directed the Kogod Center for Business Communications at American 勛圖厙 in Washington, D.C. Also while at American 勛圖厙 Auslander created the highly popular audience dog program which pairs panicked presenters with patient pooches. To date the program has been covered by the New York Times ( and among the most watched/ viewed of 2016), Fox News, Al Jazeeras news channel, the Washington Post, CBS News, and a host of other publications.

Auslander, who is a published poet, essayist, radio commentator and mother of two, lives in Lyons with two cats and one pandemic pup.
