Automated Solid Phase Extraction SystemThe GX-271 ASPEC (Gilson) instrument is our tool for sample preparation. The analytes of interest can be pre-concentrated on Solid-Phase (SPE) extraction cartridges and eluted with small amounts organic solvents, thus reaching very low levels of detection in water samples.Sample volumes vary from 50 mL to 100 mL for isolation of several organic contaminants.The easy automation of this system improves the reproducibility and reliability of the analysis.
Liquid chromatography quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry
Our LC/QTOF-MS instrument (Agilent 6546) with the JetStream technology is one of the most accurate time-of-flight mass spectrometers in the market. It provides comprehensive screening for a large number of compounds (pesticides and pharmaceuticals) by using extensive accurate mass databases of more than thousands of compounds. The capability of MS-MS experiments allows to decipher unknown compounds in environmental samples by using unique accurate mass fragmentation information. This system is also coupled to the new Infinity II HPLC, which provides both improved peak resolution and rapid analysis.
