The IUT admissions cycle has various moving parts. To help support your processing timelines, a calendar has been created which you may upload to your Exchange calendar.
Here's how to add these dates to your Exchange calendar:
- Scroll down to the IUT Processing Dates and Deadlines section.
- Select the View Details link of the date you’d like to save.
- Click on Add to Calendar and select Save to Outlook.Ìý
Change/Add Dates & Deadlines
All College, schools and programs will follow the same IUT dates and deadlines.Ìý
| IUT Admission Cycle | Application Open | Priority Consideration Deadline | Final Deadline |
|---|---|---|---|
| Spring | September 15 | October 1 | December 20 |
| Summer | February 15 | March 1 | May 10 |
| Fall | May 15 | N/A | August 10 |
Exceptions:
- The College of Music uses the Priority Consideration deadlines as its Final Deadline for Spring and Summer admission.
- The College of Music will not admit IUT students for the Fall term.
Once a program is full, they must email the registrar’s to update the confirmation notification. The confirmation notification will then notify students that the program has reached its space capacity and to direct them to apply for the following cycle.Ìý The IUT application will remain open and will continue to accept applications.Ìý If full for the summer cycle, it will also be closed for the fall cycle immediately after (ex. If Leeds is closed for Summer 2026 admission, they are also closed for Fall 2026 admission).
Drop Dates & Deadlines
The IUT Drop application opens on the same dates listed above.Ìý The deadline for Drop applications is the Census date for the respective IUT application cycle (ex. the Fall IUT Drop deadline is Fall Census).
Drops
Students who are pursuing degrees in at least two different colleges, schools or programs and wish to discontinue one major may submit an IUT drop application.
IUT drop requirements and deadlines differ from the IUT add/change application for each college, school and program, and may have financial and academic ramifications for students.Ìý
